You probably already know there are four basic body types—adrenal, ovary, liver, and thyroid—and that getting healthy & losing weight helps to identify your body type or combination of the four.
As we know we are individual & unique, so you might find that you follow the one body type and feel that you reached a plateau in your weight loss its very possible that you have secondary underlying health issues, example you identify your body type as adrenal and you start to follow the thyroid body type as you have similar symptoms and now you find that you are feeling better have more energy & the weight is coming off.

- Also, adrenal types typically have blood sugar issues. This is why if you don’t have enough fat in your ketogenic diet (if you are following this meal plan), you tend to crash and burn and feel unsatisfied. Therefore, it’s very important for adrenal types to have enough fat in their diet.
The adrenal body type The sagging belly is fat coming from a hormone called cortisol. It is not necessarily diet-related—it may be stress-related. That’s why diets may not work.
- The adrenal body type needs more protein, for the reasons is their bodies are breaking down more protein in their muscles, in the collagen, and in the skin than with the other body types. So, you need to replace that protein or you’re going to feel weak.

- If you have a weak thyroid function, your body struggles to digest fats properly. Similar to the liver body type, thyroid types also have issues with high-fat diets. Avoid fried foods & foods with high fat-content.Non-Cruciferous VegetablesTweak you diet by avoiding cruciferous vegetables: reason being that cruciferous vegetables tend to deplete iodine, and your thyroid needs iodine to function.
- Add iodine to your diet or use the drops and rub it inside your elbows every morning or on going to bed. This also helps to sleep better.
- Add sea kelp to your diet.
Causes:
High levels of estrogen, The Pill (birth control pills), Bio-polar medication, antibiotics, steroids, environmental toxins, lack of digestion – bile – from gallbladder. Gallbladder cannot convert inactive T4 into active T3 through liver & gallbladder. Body has high levels of stress affecting the adrenals, possibilities of auto-immune problems.
Note:
If, you have been on thyroid chemical medication and you don’t see relief or loss of weight it means that the thyroid is the secondary problem: could mean that you have fatty liver (bad liver), the thyroid needs 80% from a healthy liver to function.
