T3 – Measures the blood levels of T3 hormone, produced in small amounts from the thyroid -but primarily produced by converting T4 into T3 hormone in other tissues, such as the liver & kidneys.
T4 – Measures the blood levels of T4 hormone, produced by the thyroid gland.
TSH – Thyroid stimulating hormone – measure blood levels, sent from pituitary gland, monitoring whether to increase when thyroid levels (T3 & T4) are too low in the body.
